Hi, I'm Andrea. I'm the creator of RailsBuddy and I hope you find some great pairs through the site. By day I'm a Senior Software Engineer. I love pair programming and like to do it every chance I get.

I'm the creator of the richer_text RubyGem and @afomera/richer-text NPM package, which provides a text editor for Ruby on Rails applications using TipTap and ProseMirror.

In terms of Rails experience I've been coding with Ruby on Rails since late 2013, but have largely stuck to using Postgres databases and haven't had a chance to checkout sqlite yet, though I'd love to on a pair sometime.

Professional Experience

I used to work for Podia, and one of my favorite projects was helping to build the new text editor and implementing it across the app, removing Trix along the way.

True story: I one time needed over 60 PRs to add support for multiple users to the app when we added teammates quite a few years ago.

I've worked with StimulusReflex, Hotwire (even made a course or two ;)), and much of Rails itself.
